Taylor Horne

Taylor Horne is the Principal at Donovan Oates Hannaford, bringing a strong focus on commercial litigation and dispute resolution to her practice. Since joining the firm in Port Macquarie in 2021, Taylor has utilised her extensive experience to provide effective advice and guidance in a range of areas including general litigation, debt recovery, commercial disputes and transactions, insolvency and restructuring, construction disputes, and employment law. Taylor’s legal career commenced in Sydney where she practised for five years within mid-tier law firms, concentrating primarily on commercial law disputes. Her move to the mid-north coast represents a return to her regional roots, allowing her to combine her passion for providing high quality legal services with her connection to regional New South Wales. She is known for her strong commercial and financial understanding, which underpins her strategic approach to litigation. Throughout her practice, Taylor has appeared regularly in various courts, including the Federal Court, Federal Circuit Court, Supreme Court of New South Wales, District Court of New South Wales, and Local Court of New South Wales, demonstrating her capability in managing complex proceedings across multiple jurisdictions. Taylor completed her Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws at the University of New England, supplemented by a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. Her commitment to ongoing professional development supports her dedication to delivering high-level legal advice to clients in the regional community. Beyond her legal career, Taylor is actively engaged in the local community through participation in the Hastings Business Women’s Network and the Camden Haven Netball Club.
