Sarah Mehlert

Sarah Mehlert is an experienced lawyer practising in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. With a strong foundation in commercial and property law, Sarah assists clients with business sales and acquisitions, corporate advice, as well as residential and commercial leasing, easements, and electricity distribution matters. She also provides guidance on local government law and neighbourhood disputes, including tree and fencing issues. Before being admitted to practice, Sarah gained valuable experience working as a paralegal and legal assistant in a variety of settings. This background equipped her with practical knowledge across property transactions, commercial disputes, administrative law, human rights, and wills, enhancing her ability to deliver comprehensive legal solutions. Originally from Coffs Harbour, Sarah's career has taken her to various locations throughout New South Wales, including Sydney and Canberra. In 2020, she returned to the Mid North Coast to pursue her aspiration of contributing to a regional legal practice while remaining close to family. Known for her approachable manner and thorough service, Sarah is committed to supporting her clients with clear, practical advice. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in German with a minor in Spanish, from the University of New England (2018). She completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law, Sydney, in 2019 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales later that year. Beyond her legal career, Sarah is actively involved in her community. She has served as a volunteer and cadet with the Australian Navy Cadets and is a member of The Point Community Church, the North East NSW Hunting Club, and the Hastings Business Women's Network. Fluent in German, Sarah enjoys fostering connections with her friends and family, supporting foster care initiatives, and has a keen interest in Latin America.
