Rayarna brings over two decades of diverse experience in the legal sector, underpinned by a strong educational foundation. Following her high school education in Sydney, she applied her skills across various roles within private law firms. In 2008, Rayarna embarked on a significant life change; she pursued a law degree at James Cook University while raising her young children, culminating in her admission to practise in October 2014. Her career has been marked by roles such as serving as an Associate to a Supreme Court Justice and practising law at notable entities including Donnie Harris Law and the Department of Justice. These positions have deeply enriched her expertise and fuelled her passion for legal practice. Rayarna holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and has enhanced her understanding with a Certificate from Griffith University on the Criminal Justice System. Since her admission, Rayarna has gained extensive experience across several legal domains such as family law, domestic violence, child safety, and personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, WorkCover claims, and public liability. Her litigation and debt recovery work further underscore a robust legal acumen. Currently practicing at Donnie Harris Law, Rayarna focuses exclusively on family law. She assists clients with complex issues including property settlements, parenting arrangements, divorce, and domestic violence matters. Her collaborative approach is geared towards achieving amicable resolutions through mediation, negotiation, and, where required, litigation. Her commitment to effective client representation is evident in her dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes. Rayarna's strengths lie in her personable and genuine communication style, which allows her to connect effortlessly with clients. She is dedicated to resolving family law issues in a practical and harmonious manner, with a special focus on situations involving children. Outside of her professional life, Rayarna actively contributes to her community through volunteering with Townsville Rotary Saints, where she was honoured with a Rotary District Award for Service to the Community. She also offers family law advice through Townsville Community Law. As a mother to 16-year-old twins, she remains engaged with the rowing, basketball, and singing communities in Townsville, balancing her professional commitments with her active personal life.
