About Courtney
Courtney is an accomplished Associate Solicitor at Donnie Harris Law, having been a dedicated member of the team since its inception in 2014. Her journey with the firm began during her time at James Cook University, where she balanced her studies with roles such as Office Manager and Conveyancing/Commercial Law paralegal. After earning her Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Courtney was admitted as a solicitor in 2020. Possessing a robust foundation in residential conveyancing, Courtney now oversees the conveyancing practice, where she plays a crucial role in mentoring and training our paralegals and junior solicitors. Her commitment to Property Law and Commercial Law is evident in her work as she regularly advises clients on a range of matters. These include handling commercial property transactions, such as the sales and purchases of commercial and rural properties, negotiating commercial and retail shop leases, and dealing with easements, mortgage, and security documents. Courtney is also well-versed in Business Law matters. Her expertise encompasses guiding clients through sales and purchases of businesses, managing share transfers, addressing personal property securities issues, and formulating guarantees, trusts, companies, partnerships, and shareholders agreements. In addition to her primary focus areas, Courtney has gained valuable experience in estate planning, bankruptcy, and debt recovery.
