About Terry
Terry Leibman brings extensive experience in dispute resolution and advocacy to her family law practice, drawing on around 20 years as a litigator with some of Sydney’s leading law firms and as a barrister at the New South Wales Bar. She has held the position of Principal Solicitor at the NSW Cabinet Office, where she skillfully managed competing stakeholder interests to advance the Premier’s law reform agenda. Terry has also contributed to legal education as a lecturer at the University of New South Wales Law School, teaching courses in evidence and civil procedure. Known for her strong commercial insight and practical, strategic approach, Terry effectively handles complex disputes with an eye towards outcome-focused solutions. Her experience as a mother of three also gives her a personal understanding of the demands and challenges faced by families today. Terry graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of New South Wales in 1997. She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 1998, before being called to the NSW Bar in 2005.
