Founded in 1976 by Bill and Lyn DeGaris in Millicent, the firm has expanded its reach across the region, eventually relocating its practice to Mount Gambier. Since 2011, the firm has operated from a prominent State Heritage building on Penola Road, reflecting its deep roots and commitment to the community. In October 2020, after more than four decades of dedicated service, Bill and Lyn DeGaris transitioned to semi-retirement. The firm now operates as a partnership between Bill DeGaris and Donna Jaeschke, who joined the practice in 2009 and has been an Associate Partner since 2013. Donna has played a vital role in both managing the practice’s daily operations and further developing her legal career. Bill continues to serve clients through fortnightly consultations and provides professional services from Mount Gambier and Adelaide, alongside offering consultancy support to the firm. The team at DeGaris Lawyers is known for its experience and professionalism, fostering enduring relationships with clients, some spanning three to four generations.
