Shannon Isemonger

Shannon Isemonger is a partner at DEA Lawyers, where she provides advice and representation in matters relating to construction defect claims, building contract disputes, Home Warranty Insurance claims, and matters under the Building and Construction Industry (Security of Payments) Act. With extensive experience in litigation, Shannon regularly appears before the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal, District Court of NSW, Supreme Court of NSW, and the Court of Appeal. She is well-versed in alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation, expert determination, reference, and adjudication. In addition to her dispute resolution work, Shannon brings transactional expertise, advising developer and contractor clients on project documentation, delivery, and contract administration. She is involved in drafting and negotiating construction contracts and related documents, assisting clients in managing risk and reducing the potential for litigation. Shannon collaborates closely with expert witnesses and Counsel to develop effective dispute resolution strategies and is proactive in pursuing early settlement opportunities when beneficial to clients. Her practice includes commercial and construction litigation, building defect claims, insurance disputes, mediation and arbitration, negligence claims, as well as strata and community title scheme disputes focused on building defects.
