Janine De Saxe

Janine De Saxe has over 35 years of experience in Family Law, practising extensively across all its facets. Since her admission to practice in 1987, Janine has developed a broad legal background, focusing on Family Law early in her career. She became accredited in Family Law in 1994 and further expanded her expertise by completing collaborative law training in 2007 and obtaining a Vocational Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution in 2012. Janine’s approach centres on attentively listening to her clients and providing clear, straightforward advice. She prioritises empathy and efficiency, which has earned her a loyal client base, with many referrals coming from previous clients and legal colleagues. Her work extends beyond the Northern Beaches and North Shore regions of Sydney, reaching a diverse and multicultural clientele across the city. Committed to resolving matters outside of court, Janine is a skilled negotiator who frequently represents clients at mediations and settlement conferences. When litigation is necessary, she employs a strategic approach that aims to achieve the best outcomes, earning respect from the judiciary. Janine has contributed to the legal community by founding and convening family lawyer groups in the Northern Suburbs and Beaches since 2004 and remains active in collaborative professional networks. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and dog, Reuben. Qualifications include a Master of Laws (UNSW, 1994), Bachelor of Laws (UNSW, 1986), and Bachelor of Arts (UNSW, 1984). She holds memberships with the Law Society of New South Wales, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and local collaborative professional groups.
