Kirstie Day

Kirstie Day is the Managing Director of the firm, bringing over 20 years of comprehensive experience in family law. She completed her Bachelor of Laws at the Queensland University of Technology and began her legal career with Margaret Jones Solicitor, a boutique family law practice. Kirstie has developed extensive expertise in complex financial and parenting matters and has demonstrated a commitment to advancing family law practice through her contributions to the Queensland Law Society. She served on the Specialist Accreditation Family Law Advisory Committee from 2019 to 2023 and was previously a member of the Family Law Committee. As a nationally accredited mediator and qualified collaborative lawyer, Kirstie embraces alternative dispute resolution methods and is an active member of the Queensland Association of Collaborative Practitioners. She is known for her pragmatic approach, focusing on achieving timely and cost-effective outcomes for clients while minimising the need for protracted litigation. Her professional excellence has been recognised consistently, with Doyle’s Guide to the Legal Profession naming her a Preeminent Parenting and Children’s Matter Lawyer as well as a Leading Family and Divorce Lawyer across multiple years. Kirstie is also a dedicated mentor, passionately supporting women in the legal profession and young legal practitioners. Outside of her professional commitments, she values spending time with family and friends and has experience serving on the board of a prominent Brisbane school.
