Neal Wood

Neal Wood is a Managing Special Counsel at DA Family Lawyers, bringing over 15 years of dedicated experience in family and relationship law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Justice with Distinction from Queensland University of Technology, alongside a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Neal has been practising exclusively in family law since 2008 and is also a nationally accredited mediator. His extensive experience covers all facets of family law, including complex parenting matters, property settlements for married and de facto couples, child support, spousal maintenance, financial agreements such as prenuptial arrangements, domestic violence proceedings, and child protection issues. Neal’s thorough understanding of the family law system and technical expertise enable him to provide his clients with clear guidance and effective representation. Neal is admitted to practice in the Queensland Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia. He is actively involved in professional legal communities, including the Queensland Law Society, the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Queensland, and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. Outside the office, Neal enjoys outdoor activities, often found at the coast or participating in long course triathlons, accompanied by his border collie.
