Lisa Foley

Lisa Foley is the Managing Director of DA Family Lawyers, bringing extensive experience and dedication to family law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Queensland University of Technology. Lisa has committed her career exclusively to family law, including complex areas such as international family law, international child abduction, and child protection matters. Her legal expertise encompasses a broad range of family law issues including parenting arrangements, property settlements, divorce proceedings, child support and spousal maintenance, appeals, domestic violence order proceedings, child protection, and matters before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Lisa is also skilled in drafting and advising on financial agreements, including prenuptial agreements and child support agreements. Lisa is recognised for her collaborative approach to legal practice, holding qualifications as a collaborative law practitioner and advocating strongly for collaboration and mediation as effective alternatives to litigation. She serves as the Vice President of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Queensland, reflecting her active engagement in the legal community. She is admitted to practice in the Queensland Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia, and is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Queensland, and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
