Scott Lewis

Scott Lewis is a partner at Cunningham Adam Solicitors, having joined the firm in 2000. He entered the legal profession as a mature-aged graduate, beginning his career at the age of 36. Scott was admitted as a solicitor in 1997 after earning his law degree from Macquarie University. Scott's practice encompasses a diverse range of areas including property law, criminal matters, workers compensation and personal injury law, litigation, wills and estate planning, family provision claims, and deceased estates. He has significant experience appearing in Local Court matters, notably traffic and criminal offences, and regularly represents clients in the District Court for more serious criminal matters and appeals. Additionally, Scott provides assistance with conveyancing and leasing transactions, focusing on ensuring a smooth and efficient process for his clients. He is committed to clear communication, taking the time to explain legal issues in an accessible manner, which helps clients understand their options and develop effective strategies to resolve their matters. Before embarking on his legal career, Scott was a Registered Nurse, serving as a Nursing Unit Manager and relieving Assistant Director of Nursing at Royal Newcastle Hospital. Outside of his professional life, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He has a passion for beekeeping, creating mosaics, travelling overseas, and cooking. He also keeps active by swimming laps at the local baths.
