Michael Clive

Michael Clive leads CBC’s commercial and property teams, bringing over twenty years of legal experience to his role. He began his legal career in Brisbane, having studied, trained and practised there before returning to his roots in North Queensland. Michael’s extensive experience includes three years at Clifford Chance in London, a prominent international law firm, which has equipped him with a high level of legal expertise. His broad knowledge and skill set place him among the most accomplished lawyers in his region within commercial and property law. Born and raised in Home Hill, a small town in the Burdekin district known for its sugar cane farming, Michael retains a strong connection to his rural background. This perspective, combined with his approachable and friendly manner, helps him connect effectively with clients. Outside of work, Michael is an avid tennis player and is regularly seen on the courts at Tennis Townsville in North Ward most Monday evenings.
