Gemma Couldwell

Gemma Couldwell is the Principal Solicitor and founder of Couldwell Legal. Originally from England, she earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sheffield before relocating to Western Australia in 2009. Gemma further advanced her legal education with a Juris Doctor from Murdoch University and was admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2013. Her practice encompasses Wills and estates, guardianship and administration, commercial litigation, debt recovery, and defamation. Gemma is committed to making legal processes clear and manageable, particularly during challenging times such as periods of grief or dispute. She is recognised for her calm and practical style, and her ability to explain complex legal matters in accessible terms. As the leader of a remote-first firm, Gemma provides legal services across Perth, regional Western Australia, and beyond, facilitating mobile appointments in clients’ homes, hospitals, and aged care facilities. Outside of work, Gemma enjoys photography, weight training, and travelling down south with her partner and their German Shepherd, Poppy.
