Laura Kennard

Laura Kennard is a dedicated Family Lawyer at Cornerstone Law Offices, joining the team in July 2024. With five years of experience in Family Law, Laura's career path has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of legal practice, beginning as a Legal Clerk and advancing through roles in administration and paralegal work before qualifying as a lawyer. This diverse background enhances her ability to navigate complex family law matters effectively. Laura is deeply committed to achieving positive outcomes for her clients, recognising the emotional challenges they face during difficult times. She draws on both her professional expertise and personal empathy to guide clients through legal processes with care and support, enabling them to move forward with confidence. Working closely with Principal Lawyer Pravinita Singh-Pillay, Laura plays an integral role within the Family Law Team. Beyond her legal practice, she is actively involved in community initiatives, supporting victims of domestic violence through Financial Superwomen and assisting teens with mental health challenges via Heal.ed Tribe. Laura holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, a Bachelor of Laws from Southern Cross University, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Media and Cultural Studies from Liverpool John Moores University. She has completed certifications in Mediation Practice and Procedure, Legal Tech and Business Skills, and is an Accredited Mental Health First Aider. Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her two adult children, staying active through gym sessions and Pilates, walking her dog Bambi, and indulging in reading, writing, travel, and discovering new places.
