Tahnee Coonan

Tahnee Coonan is a family lawyer with over ten years of experience, bringing a well-rounded perspective from both private practice and public sector roles. She has provided in-house legal advice to a number of government agencies, including the Police, Fire & Emergency Services, Department of Health, and the Crimes Victims Services Unit, as well as managing litigation matters within these bodies. Tahnee's experience spans acting as a family lawyer, mediator, and family dispute resolution practitioner. She is known for combining her legal knowledge with empathy, guiding clients through often complex and sensitive family law issues. Tahnee regularly appears in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia, as well as the Supreme Court and Local Court, and has experience working with interstate jurisdictions. She is a nationally accredited mediator and registered family dispute resolution practitioner recognised by the Attorney-General's Department. Tahnee holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business, with a double major in Management and Entrepreneurship, from James Cook University. She is also admitted to practice in the High Court and Supreme Court of Australia.
