Angela Backhouse is a Director at Chamberlains and leads the firm’s Commercial and Workplace Law practice. With more than 18 years of experience, she has managed a broad spectrum of matters including commercial transactions, workplace disputes, commercial litigation, breach of contract claims, data and privacy issues, and corporate advisory services. Angela is committed to surpassing client expectations by addressing the distinct legal and operational needs of business owners and companies across Australia. Her approach is both commercially astute and pragmatic, ensuring legal solutions are tailored to each client’s specific circumstances. In addition to her legal practice, Angela is actively involved in mentoring emerging lawyers through student placements and development programs, fostering new talent within the profession. She also serves on the Board of the Canberra Business Chamber, where she contributes valuable legal and governance expertise to support key members of the local business community.
