Lucy Richards

Lucy Richards is a director and senior lawyer who brings a pragmatic, strategic and effective approach to commercial law. Since commencing with Richards Commercial Lawyers in 2010, she has built a strong reputation for offering proactive and responsive legal advice that clients value. Prior to joining Richards Commercial Lawyers, Lucy gained over nine years’ experience at a leading Adelaide commercial law firm, including serving as a partner from 2007. Throughout her career, she has provided legal counsel to a diverse range of clients, including publicly listed and private companies, banks, credit unions, statutory corporations, franchisees, joint ventures, industry groups, partnerships and small businesses. In July 2022, Lucy expanded her scope by joining Caveo Partners Legal as a director, enabling Caveo Partners group clients to access dedicated commercial legal services. Lucy holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide. Early in her career, she served as an associate to the Honourable Justice Duggan at the Supreme Court of South Australia. Her extensive experience across various sectors and commitment to client-focused service makes her a valued legal advisor for complex commercial matters.
