Stephanie Swain

Steph's legal journey began in the coastal town of Gerringong, culminating in a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences and a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney. Her academic pursuits were enriched by international studies in London, Singapore, Kathmandu, and Shanghai. Professionally, she commenced her career at a renowned Sydney law firm, focusing on Corporate Finance and Property Finance. Since 2021, when she was admitted as a solicitor, Steph has been a valued member of Carter Ferguson, adeptly handling a diverse array of legal issues typical of regional practice, with a particular interest in estate planning, commercial transactions, and property disputes. Beyond her legal practice, Steph brings a rich tapestry of experience from roles outside the legal sector, including leading operations for a FinTech startup and managing an accelerator program at a venture capital firm. Her tenure as a Management Consultant involved business improvements across numerous industries. This varied experience allows Steph to better understand the wide-ranging challenges her clients face. Drawn back to Gerringong during the pandemic, Steph and her partner now enjoy the coastal lifestyle in Gerroa. Outside work, she can be found at the beach, making homemade pasta, or spending time with family and friends.
