Michael Coorey BEc, LLB is the Principal of C&M Lawyers, bringing over three decades of comprehensive legal experience. Admitted to practice in 1990, Michael began his career with a prominent city law firm, where he developed expertise in litigation, criminal law, and dispute resolution over more than ten years. He then spent three and a half years with a leading insurance company, focusing on large medical negligence claims. This role involved managing complex litigation and resolving disputes on behalf of seriously injured plaintiffs, further enhancing his understanding of both sides of personal injury matters. Since founding C&M Lawyers in 2004, Michael has applied his extensive knowledge to deliver practical and balanced legal advice. His experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants allows him to approach each case with a thorough understanding of all perspectives, ensuring well-rounded advocacy for his clients. Committed to access to justice, Michael regularly undertakes pro bono work, assisting clients who may otherwise be unable to secure legal representation. His expertise is recognised by his peers, and he has been invited to present seminars to legal professionals.
