About Jacqui
Jacqui See is the Principal of Byford Legal, a firm she co-founded with partner John in November 2012. Admitted to practice in both State and Federal jurisdictions in March 2010, Jacqui brings a distinctive blend of legal expertise and corporate experience, having previously built a successful management career with the National Australia Bank. Jacqui holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce with a Finance major from Murdoch University, complemented by a Graduate Diploma in Financial Advising from The Securities Institute of Australia. Her academic contributions include publication in the Murdoch University Electronic Journal of Law. Throughout her career, Jacqui has acted as instructing solicitor on complex, long-running litigation matters, including compensation claims related to the compulsory acquisition of land. She has represented clients in significant cases before the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Western Australia, including the Court of Appeal. Her legal work has extended to Federal Court native title proceedings, where she has acted for pastoralists and graziers represented by the Pastoralists and Graziers Association of Western Australia across various matters in the State. Jacqui has also provided legal services to Local Government bodies in criminal prosecutions under both State and Local legislation. Additionally, Jacqui has advised publicly listed mining services companies on environmental compliance and regulatory issues affecting multiple industrial sites throughout Western Australia. Beyond her professional undertakings, Jacqui balances her role as a business owner and mother with a passion for fitness and well-being, having completed endurance events such as the BRW Triathlon and the City to Surf. Her approach combines a keen legal understanding with a practical, real-world perspective.
