James Shin

James Shin is the Principal Lawyer, bringing extensive experience in immigration law with a focus on navigating complex legal matters. He is highly skilled in assisting clients to regularise their status when they are unlawful non-citizens without valid visas in Australia, and adept at handling cases involving protection visas, visa refusals, and cancellations. James has particular expertise in matters concerning visa cancellations due to character issues under section 501 of the Migration Act 1958, as well as cases involving misleading or false information under PIC4020 provisions. He also regularly deals with intricate issues related to Schedule 3 and 4 of the Migration Regulations, and complex citizenship applications. His practice includes advising on a broad range of visas including Temporary Skill Shortage visas (Subclass 482), Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visas (Subclass 494), Medical Treatment visas (Subclass 602), Business Innovation and Investment visas, and various family visas such as partner, parent, aged parent, and contributory parent visas.
