John Muscat

John Muscat BA (Hons), LLB (Syd), DLP (NSW College of Law), GradDipMgmt (AGSM) is the Principal Solicitor at BGL Legal. He graduated with honours in Arts and Law from the University of Sydney in 1987, the same year he was admitted to practise as a solicitor in New South Wales. In March 1999, John gained admission to the High Court of Australia as a solicitor. John has a diverse background in legal practice, having worked both in a large commercial law firm and in-house at one of Australia’s largest insurance companies before founding BGL Legal. His broad experience enables him to assist clients with a range of matters including conveyancing and leasing, family law, wills and probate, guardianship and powers of attorney, dispute resolution involving neighbours and councils, personal injury claims, victims compensation, debt recovery, and business documentation. He also has experience representing clients before the Guardianship Tribunal of NSW. With a strong connection to Sydney’s inner west, John is actively involved in the local community. He holds memberships with the Law Society of NSW, the City of Sydney Law Society, and the Balmain-Rozelle Chamber of Commerce, and contributes to the St Joseph's Rozelle Finance Committee. His commitment to service and comprehensive legal knowledge support clients in navigating their legal issues with confidence.
