Melanie Costi

Melanie Costi is a Partner at Bellco Law, where she manages a broad range of commercial and business legal matters. Since beginning her legal career in Cairns in 2006 and being admitted as a solicitor in 2008, Melanie has developed extensive experience in property, commercial, and business law. Her practice encompasses all aspects of property transactions, including commercial purchases and sales, retail and commercial leasing. Melanie has a particular focus on property developments, subdivision matters, as well as advising on business purchases and sales. She represents clients throughout Queensland, working from offices in Townsville, Brisbane, Hughenden, and the Atherton Tablelands. Melanie's recent work includes creating and registering easements for major national corporations, including shopping centres, energy, and communication providers. She has also advised on and completed numerous rural station transactions valued at approximately $250 million. Additionally, Melanie has established body corporates for large-scale residential and commercial complexes in Townsville and Brisbane City. Her commercial expertise extends to advising on business sales and purchases, ranging from small locally owned cafes to large national businesses with multiple locations. She regularly provides guidance on franchise agreements for national businesses and drafts franchise agreements for clients seeking to expand their own enterprises. Melanie has also assisted in the administration of multimillion-dollar estates. Her areas of practice include property law, commercial law, leasing, business transactions, and wills and estate planning.
