Following her admission, Helen developed a keen interest in property, estate planning, and deceased estate administration. She is dedicated to helping clients through these often complex areas with straightforward, practical advice and a commitment to delivering timely outcomes. Helen's career has also been marked by her love of teaching and sharing knowledge. She took a notable hiatus from legal practice to serve as a lecturer at the Australian National University’s Legal Workshop, where she influenced the next generation of lawyers by teaching the practical intricacies of property law within the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Her role involved convening key components of the programme, such as the Professional Practice Core and the Legal Practice Experience, along with supervising the Legal Aid Clinic, fostering both academic and practical skills in students. With a proud heritage from the Northern Territory and having moved to the Australian Capital Territory in her late twenties, Helen balances her professional life with personal interests, including walking Pepe, her beloved Golden Retriever, socialising with friends, and exploring culinary ventures during legendary Sunday family lunches. Fluent in Castilian Spanish, Helen combines cultural and linguistic diversity with her legal expertise, bringing a comprehensive perspective to her practice. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts/Law with a focus on Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Canberra and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Australian National University, where she graduated with distinction.
