Bethan Frake

Bethan Frake is the principal lawyer at BDF Law, bringing a wealth of experience in commercial and civil litigation, estate disputes, and employment law within Tasmania. Since founding BDF Law in 2015, Bethan has developed a reputation for her effective advocacy and thorough legal representation. Bethan graduated with honours from the University of Bristol in 1998 and relocated to Australia in 2001 to pursue her legal career in private practice. She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2006 and later admitted to the High Court of Australia in 2009, reflecting her broad legal standing. Her extensive courtroom experience includes appearances before the Fair Work Commission, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Magistrates Court, the Supreme Court of Tasmania, and various state tribunals such as the Tasmanian Civil & Administrative Tribunal. She has held numerous roles within Amnesty International Australia, including Tasmanian Regional Representative and Regional President, and has contributed her legal expertise as a volunteer solicitor at the Launceston Community Legal Centre.
