Tim Mitchell

Tim Mitchell serves as the Solicitor Director of Bay Legal, bringing a wealth of experience to this boutique commercial and general practice firm. After his admission to practice in 1995, Tim honed his legal skills at first-tier law firms during the 1990s, where he focused primarily on commercial transactions and infrastructure projects. In 2005, he established Bay Legal, where he continues to assist personal clients and small to medium businesses across a broad spectrum of legal matters, including general commercial transactions, civil litigation, property issues, leasing, and intellectual property. He effectively represents clients in all forms of court and administrative appeals. Tim's legal acumen extends to criminal defence and employment law, and he has significant experience in contested estate matters. His proficiency in handling Family Provision claims and disputed Wills has been demonstrated through his work in the Supreme Court of NSW. In addition to his legal practice, Tim is a currently practising Notary Public, providing clients with assistance in international transactions. His legal pursuits and leadership roles reflect his diverse background, which includes experience in political advisory and industrial relations. Beyond the legal realm, Tim has a strong commitment to leadership within the community. He previously chaired the Australia Asia Young Leaders Program and the M Club, Maroubra Bay. Presently, he holds the position of chair at Hartford College, an independent boys' school in Sydney's eastern suburbs. In his personal time, Tim enjoys the company of his family, as well as activities such as camping, reading, and exploring history and philosophy.
