Joshua Hay

Josh Hay is a partner at Bale Boshev, contributing to the property, commercial, and wills and estates teams. With over nine years of legal experience, Josh joined the firm in early 2015 after gaining valuable experience at several prominent Sydney law firms. During his time in Sydney, Josh worked on a variety of significant matters, including due diligence projects, commercial contracts, real estate acquisitions and disposals, and leasing transactions. At Bale Boshev, he has developed a broad client base that ranges from corporate and small business clients to individual private clients. In the property and commercial area, Josh handles conveyancing and property development matters, commercial, retail and industrial leasing, liquor licensing, and the preparation and review of commercial contracts. His approach is practical and commercially aware, ensuring efficient and effective outcomes for his clients. Within the wills and estates team, Josh regularly prepares wills, powers of attorney, and enduring guardian appointments. He also assists executors with obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration, as well as managing estate administration. Increasingly, Josh is involved in estate litigation, advising and representing executors, trustees, administrators, beneficiaries and other interested parties in disputes relating to unfair wills, family provision claims, contested probates and will validity. Josh is known for his down-to-earth, pragmatic approach and commercial acumen, which help him achieve results with minimal fuss. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, spending time on his family farm near Newcastle, and reading whenever he finds the time.
