About George
George Boshev was one of the founding partners of Bale Boshev Lawyers and has played a pivotal role in the firm’s development since its establishment. Raised on a rural property in New South Wales, George pursued academic excellence early on, completing a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours at the University of Newcastle. He then graduated from the University of Sydney Law School and was admitted to legal practice in February 1977. Before co-founding the firm, George gained valuable experience working with a Sydney legal practice for about five years. His expertise spans personal injury litigation, including third-party workers’ compensation and public liability claims, as well as conveyancing, commercial law, and estates. In 1980, George returned to Newcastle and, together with Peter Bale, took over the practice known as Cleaves and Cleaves, transforming it into Bale Boshev Lawyers with offices in Hamilton, Belmont, and East Maitland. After more than four decades of dedicated service, George retired from the partnership in June 2023 to focus on family, travel, and personal interests. He continues to contribute his extensive knowledge of the law in a consultant capacity. Colleagues and clients alike value George’s sharp legal insight, wit, and approachable manner. Outside of his professional life, George is a family man, married with four children. He enjoys reading, card games, and spending quality time with family and friends.
