Perpetua Kish is the Principal Lawyer and Co-Founder of Balance Family Law, where she champions a transformative approach to family law, emphasising kindness and innovative, out-of-court solutions. With over a decade of experience, Pepe has consistently helped clients resolve complex matters with empathy and strategic insight. Her background in social work and conflict management enriches her ability to provide comprehensive advice, making clients feel valued and understood. Pepe began her legal career with the ACT Government, where she held various roles, including Associate to the Children's Court Magistrate, Solicitor, and Senior Case Manager. Her time there honed her skills in child protection and family matters, earning her accolades such as the Chief Minister’s Awards for Excellence. An advocate for collaborative law, Pepe has been instrumental in founding The Kind Lawyers, a movement dedicated to changing the narrative around divorce. She serves as a Director for the Australian Association of Collaborative Professionals and Pacifica Congress, promoting a holistic, child-focused approach to family law. Her contributions have earned her numerous national and international awards, including the ACT Law Society’s President Medal and the Australian Law Awards Boutique Law Firm of the Year. Pepe holds postgraduate qualifications in Human Services and has completed training in mediation, parenting coordination, and advanced collaborative law.
