Muhamed Mehmedbasic is a distinguished Senior Lawyer at Balance Family Law, joining the esteemed team in September 2022. He embarked on his legal journey after a unique combination of studying law alongside music, finding a growing passion for legal practice during his academic pursuits. Muhamed is particularly drawn to the law due to its potential to assist individuals through challenging uncertainties and intense situations. He is intellectually stimulated by the precision and logic inherent in legal language and enjoys navigating complex legal matters. Muhamed is known for his calm and meticulous approach, always considering that some cases benefit from a delicate balance of detail. His commitment to professional development is shown through his completion of Mental Health First Aid Accreditation in December 2022 and participation in trauma-informed training with the Women's Legal Centre in November 2023. These experiences have enhanced his ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy and care. In his previous roles, Muhamed has accumulated extensive experience. Since January 2026, he has been with Mazengarb Arora Family Lawyers in the Greater Canberra Area. Before that, he served at Balance Family Law from August 2022 to December 2025, and at JB Solicitors from March 2018 to August 2022.
