Mark Love

Mark Love is a Legal Director with over 34 years of experience in business and corporate law. As one of the founding Directors of the firm, Mark brings extensive expertise across a broad range of commercial matters, including business structures such as trusts, joint ventures and partnerships, corporate governance, contracting and licensing, insolvency and debtor strategy, and intellectual property. Mark’s practice primarily focuses on contract and commercial law, where he advises on negotiation, drafting, enforcement and compliance strategies. His work covers diverse business scenarios, from facilitating the placement of advanced technology in sensitive defence environments to preparing standard terms of sale for goods and services, as well as leasing and hire arrangements. In addition to his commercial practice, Mark has a strong background in corporate governance. He has considerable experience in the enforcement of directors’ duties, particularly in insolvency contexts, and has contributed significantly to education in this area, having developed and facilitated the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ course on Director Duties and Responsibilities for nearly two decades. Mark has held leadership roles including Deputy Chairman of Exhibition Park in Canberra, an ACT Government Corporation, and Chair of the ACT Law Society Legal Practice and Ethics Committee. Mark’s clients span private industry, government agencies, industry representative bodies, accountants, insolvency practitioners, corporate retailers and co-operatives. His breadth of experience equips him to provide pragmatic and effective legal solutions to a wide spectrum of business and corporate challenges.
