Jeff Hewitt

Jeff is a highly experienced member of the Baily Family Law team, having joined as a Senior Associate in December 2023. With an extensive career spanning over two decades in family law, Jeff provides clients with comprehensive legal guidance across all facets of this multifaceted field. After obtaining his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia in 2001, he was admitted to practise by the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2003. Jeff's vast expertise encompasses a wide range of family law areas, including property and financial settlements, parenting matters, superannuation splitting, spousal maintenance, and consent orders. Additionally, he is adept at handling complex issues related to binding financial agreements, child support agreements, and legal challenges arising from de facto and same-sex relationships. Dedicated to both his clients and the community, Jeff is an active member of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia and the Law Society of Western Australia. His commitment to legal service extends beyond his professional practice, as evidenced by his volunteering role with the Women’s Legal Service. Jeff's contributions to this organisation were recognised in November 2023 with a Certificate of Appreciation, highlighting his unwavering dedication and efforts to support individuals navigating family law matters.
