Peter Kernan

Peter Kernan is a highly regarded legal professional with over three decades of experience, primarily based on the Central Coast. As the Director of Aubrey Brown Lawyers, Peter leads the Property Law team while also providing valuable assistance in Estate Planning and Administration. Since joining the firm in July 2018, he has brought his wealth of expertise to a wide array of property transactions, earning recognition as an Accredited Specialist in Property Law by the NSW Law Society. His proficiency encompasses residential and commercial conveyancing, with significant expertise in off-the-plan developments that benefit both vendors and purchasers. Peter's successful management of numerous large-scale residential subdivisions and unique projects such as ski lodges in the NSW snowfields underscores his capability in handling complex property matters. Alongside his property focus, he also boasts considerable experience in commercial law and estate planning. Peter is deeply embedded in his local community, serving as an honorary solicitor for various sporting and community organisations, including Wamberal Surf Life Saving Club and Terrigal Trojans Rugby Club. His commitment extends to holding roles on school and club committees, reflecting his dedication to community service. His areas of expertise include residential, industrial, and commercial conveyancing; creating contracts and strata management documents for multi-level retail/residential developments; and advising on retail and commercial leases. Peter is also skilled in drafting agreements such as Put and Call Option Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, and Partition Agreements, as well as Shareholder and Share Sale Agreements. His legal acumen extends to loan and finance documentation, estate planning, asset protection, testamentary trusts, and wills. Peter launched his legal career after earning a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and has since become a pillar of the legal community on the Central Coast.
