Charles Lethbridge

Charles Lethbridge is a Partner at Attwood Marshall Lawyers, where he leads the Commercial Litigation Department. With extensive experience across a broad range of commercial disputes, Charles focuses on matters including property disputes, building disputes, shareholder and director disagreements, equity issues, contract enforcement, insolvency, and consumer claims. Beginning his legal career in 2004 at his father's law firm, Charles has practiced in both Brisbane and Sydney before joining Attwood Marshall Lawyers. His client base spans listed companies, private enterprises, and individuals nationally, reflecting his versatility and depth of knowledge in commercial litigation. Charles has represented international corporations and prominent Australian companies, handling complex and high-value cases in the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia, as well as smaller disputes involving family-owned businesses. His approach is pragmatic, centred on understanding his clients' objectives and advising on the full range of options available to achieve optimal outcomes. Recognising that only a small proportion of disputes proceed to trial, Charles places great importance on effective negotiation and the use of alternative dispute resolution methods. Charles holds a Bachelor of Business (Communication) and a Bachelor of Laws.
