Raised in the rural heart of Queensland, MaryAnn experienced a diverse upbringing on a sheep and cattle property, which instilled in her the values of hard work and perseverance from a young age. She excelled academically throughout her schooling, demonstrating leadership as vice captain in her final year of high school. MaryAnn's academic pursuits commenced with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) at the University of Southern Queensland, where she graduated with top honours. Her passion for education continued into her career, teaching at Toowoomba Anglican College and Preparatory School. Her transition into law was marked by her decision to pursue a Juris Doctor, graduating with an impressive grade point average. While undertaking her law degree, MaryAnn balanced full-time studies with raising her young family and working part-time, demonstrating her incredible work ethic and dedication. Her legal career began in earnest with practical exposure to legal practice in Brisbane, leading to her admission as a solicitor in the Supreme Court in 2011. In her role at Armstrong Kutz Lawyers, MaryAnn offers legal assistance across all areas of law, and she has a particular commitment to supporting victims of child sexual abuse and family violence.
