Richard Armour

Richard Armour is the Principal of Armour Allen Lawyers and one of the most experienced legal practitioners in Adelaide. Admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of South Australia in 1978, Richard has dedicated over four decades to practising law across a broad spectrum of legal areas. Throughout his career, Richard has represented clients throughout Australia in various jurisdictions. He has developed significant expertise as a litigator in the District Court, with much of his civil practice also extending to the Supreme Court. Among Richard’s notable recent work is leading a successful class action on behalf of 65 medical practitioners in the Federal Court. He has also secured more than 35 acquittals in drink driving matters and played a pivotal role in a landmark Family Court case concerning surrogacy, which was the first of its kind in Australia. Additionally, Richard has substantial experience working with rural communities, having managed a branch office in Ceduna for over 15 years. Richard’s extensive knowledge and practical experience enable him to manage a wide range of legal matters effectively. He adopts a hands-on and personalised approach, ensuring his clients receive the best possible legal outcomes tailored to their individual circumstances.
