Nerissa Thompson

Nerissa Thompson is the Principal Lawyer and Founder of Areté Legal, bringing over 15 years of experience within the legal profession. Throughout her career, she has worked in small and medium-sized private practice firms, concentrating on property law with a particular emphasis on conveyancing, alongside estate planning and estate administration. Nerissa has developed her expertise by working with an Australian trustee company, supporting clients across Victoria, New South Wales, and the Australian Capital Territory. This experience has honed her ability to deliver practical and reliable legal advice tailored to the individual needs and circumstances of her clients. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business in Event Management from Victoria University, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. Additionally, Nerissa completed the Practice Management Course for Lawyers offered by the Law Institute of Victoria. Admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria since 2010, Nerissa is an active member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
