About Christine
Christine Sedrak is the Founder and Principal Lawyer at Anchorage Legal. She holds a double degree from the University of Otago, New Zealand, earning both a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce. Admitted to practice in Victoria, Christine has focused primarily on family law throughout her career, while also gaining experience in property matters, estate planning, and commercial transactions. Her deep commitment to family law enables her to offer clients thorough and practical advice across a broad range of issues, including complex property settlements, divorce, arrangements for the care of children, child support, spousal maintenance, and domestic violence matters. Christine approaches each family law case with a focus on empowering clients through knowledge, helping them to select the most suitable processes and outcomes while managing costs and minimising delays. She has represented clients in family violence, property, and children’s matters before the Magistrates Court, as well as the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. In addition, Christine works as a collaborative lawyer, partnering with other legal professionals, psychologists, financial advisors, and experts to aim for the best overall outcome for clients and their families. This approach helps reduce the stress and anxiety often associated with court proceedings. Christine is an active member of the Law Institute of Victoria and regularly volunteers at the Peninsula Community Legal Centre. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters, sharing interests in walking, reading, and travelling.
