About Us
Cheryl Alt CPC, Licensed Conveyancer and Justice of the Peace, established Alternative Conveyancing in 1997. With a legal career beginning in 1985 as a Legal Secretary, Cheryl has accumulated extensive experience working with property developers and solicitors in senior para-legal roles. She has been deeply involved with the Australian Institute of Conveyancers, serving as a Councillor in New South Wales and nationally, and was honoured with a Fellowship in 2008. Cheryl’s commitment to consumer protection propelled her to become a Licensed Conveyancer following the enactment of the Conveyancers Licensing Act 1992, which introduced important safeguards for clients in conveyancing transactions. Under her leadership, Alternative Conveyancing has evolved from a sole operation based at home to a thriving practice with dedicated commercial premises in Norwest Business Park since 2001. The office’s accessible location and professional environment reflect the firm’s growth and commitment to service excellence. Alternative Conveyancing focuses exclusively on property conveyancing across New South Wales, handling a broad range of matters including Torrens, Strata, Community, Old System, Company, and Leasehold titles. The practice provides comprehensive conveyancing services for buying and selling property, managing stamp duty, deposit bonds, and incorporating advanced technology and risk management strategies to ensure smooth and reliable transactions. Cheryl and her team are dedicated to delivering expertise and personalised service tailored to the unique needs of each client.
