Michael Adendorff

Michael Adendorff has extensive experience in commercial law, with a strong focus on business transactions, corporate structuring, and property matters. Admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2001, he also holds prior admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa since 1993. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce in Law and Economics, a Bachelor of Laws with multiple distinctions and high distinctions, and a Master of Laws specialising in Corporations Law and Tax. Michael’s practice covers a broad range of commercial services, including business and share disposals and acquisitions, corporate finance, tax-effective structuring and restructuring, and asset protection strategies. He routinely advises on utilising superannuation and unit trust arrangements, with experience in investments related to retirement villages and diverse real estate sectors such as residential, commercial, and office developments. His property law expertise extends to conveyancing, property development, commercial leasing, mortgage finance, share buy-backs, and corporate conversions from public to private status. In addition to his legal practice, Michael has shared his knowledge through lecturing roles in Business Law and Commercial Contract Law at Southern Cross University, La Trobe University, and De Montfort University in the United Kingdom. He is an active member of the New South Wales Law Society, a past Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, and contributes to the business community as a Committee Member and Secretary of the Coffs Harbour Chamber of Commerce. Michael is also involved with Rotary International, representing the Coffs Harbour City chapter.
