Alexandra Brand

Alexandra is a Senior Associate in Family Law, with over a decade of dedicated experience since her admission to practice in 2013. Her practice is focused exclusively on family law, where she has developed extensive expertise in handling complex de facto and family law property matters, as well as parenting issues. Since 2019, Alexandra has been appointed as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, a role that has deepened her understanding of the nuances involved in parenting cases and offers her a valuable perspective on how courts assess parenting applications. She is skilled in preparing consent orders and binding financial agreements, ensuring that her clients receive comprehensive legal support through every aspect of their matter. Alexandra is a regular presence in contested hearings before the Federal Circuit and Family Court, demonstrating confidence and clarity in court advocacy. She holds a Master of Applied Law (Family Law) and was recognised as the Best Graduating Student by the College of Law, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence. Additionally, she has conversational proficiency in German. Known for her client-focused approach, Alexandra prioritises providing straightforward and honest advice, communicated in clear and accessible terms. Outside of her professional commitments, Alexandra enjoys her passion for vintage cars and memorabilia from the 1950s and 1960s, attending car shows, listening to talkback radio, and cherishing quality time with her family and three children.
